Continue the III Season of the Barcelona Youth Symphony Orchestra -JOSB with two concerts coducted by Carlos Checa and the Soloist Jesús Victorio ,trombone.

Overture Rosamunda, Op. 26 of Franz Schubert,
Concert for trombone and orchestra , op.4 of Ferdinand David
“Nutcracker” Suite Op 71to of P.Tchaikovsky.

Dates

Sunday 6th of May , at 18.30 p.m Centre Civic “La Sedeta”.
Monday 7th, at 20 p.m to the Paranimf of the University of Barcelona.

Íñigo Pírfano conduct’s a wonderfull Beethoven program that includes the Egmont Overture and the Symphony No. 6 in F major, op. 68, “Pastoral”.

The concert is at the  Paraninfo of the University of Barcelona, on Monday, March 19 at 8:00 p.m. (free entrance).

The Funeral March in memory of Rikard Nordraak of E. Grieg and the Symphony No. 3 Op.35 by  L.V. Beethoven known as the “Eroica” are the masterpieces of the upcoming challenge of the Jove Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona, which will feature in this program with the musical direction of the conductor Carlos Checa and will offer two free concerts on February 4th  and 5th thanks to the support of the Barcelona City Council, La Sedeta, Mercedes Autobeltrán, Clinica Sanza, Gratacós, and Barcelona Ciudad de Música.

Concerts:

February 4th  concert at the La Sedeta, at 12.30 pm, and Monday 5th, at 8 pm, at the Paranimfo of the University of Barcelona.

El Mestre Salvador Brotons, director titular de la Vancouver Symphony Orchestra i la Banda Municipal de Barcelona, torna a  dirigir la Jove Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona amb un programa molt atractiu, on es podrà escoltar l’obertura del Festival Acadèmic de J.Brahms i la Quinta Simfonia ” Reforma” de F.Mendelssohn.

El concert és el pròxim diumenge  3 de desembre a l’AET ( Auditori Eduard Toldrà ) del CMMB a  les 19h. C/ Bruc 112, de Barcelona.

El concert  és gratuït, amb entrada lliure fins a completar aforament.

From the New World Symphony

The first program of the III Season of the Barcelona Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Carlos Checa,  will include works such us “Empúries”  Sardana by E.Toldrà, a selection of the Suite “The Lake of the Swans” by P. Tchaikovsky and the  9th Symphony “Of the New World” by A. Dvořák.

CONCERTS:
The Concerts will be on Sunday, October 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the La Sedeta Civic Center, on Monday 2, at 8:00 p.m. at the UB Paranimf  and on Thursday, October 5 at 9:00 p.m. at the Palau de la Música Catalana, at an extraordinary concert organized by the AFAB  that also supposes the debut of the JOSB in this emblematic concert hall.Tickets from 5€  that can be acquired in the box office of the Palau or by means of this link http://www.palaumusica.cat/ca/concert-solidari-for-l-alzheimer_525085.

III Season 2017-2018. Jove Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona

The JOSB  returns to the  Palau de la Música and Auditori of Barcelona in the Fourth Season.

The JOSB returns to the Palau de la Música and Auditori of Barcelona in the Fourth Season.

Thanks to the great debut of the JOSB at the Palau de la Música on October 5, 2017, the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Barcelona has been invited again for the acts of the 31st Anniversary of the AFAB and will offer a concert at the Palau de la Música Catalana on Sunday 21th, October 2018. On the other hand,The  JOSB will return to the Auditorium of Barcelona in this IV season with concerts on Sunday, February 3 and Monday, May 13.

Concert May 21 at the Brians Penitentiary Center.

As a social and solidarity project in support of the marginalized and vulnerable sectors of our society, Carlos Checa and the Jove Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona, in collaboration with Penitentiary institutions, La Caixa Banking Foundation and the Archbishopric of Barcelona, ​​will offer a concert May 21 at the Brians Penitentiary Center. The program includes the Adagio of Mozart’s Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra, which will be performed by soloist Alejandro Lobato and completed with the Symphony nº 4 in Re minor Op 120 by Robert Schumann.
